What is BLUE SLATE LIFE coaching?

It is deciding you deserve a better life, free of dependence on drugs and alcohol to make you feel better, or numb your feelings.  So you're brave.  And let yourself feel.... It is deciding you're sick and tired of chasing that dragon.  So, you slay it.  It is deciding you want to experience what it's like to be present for not only your family and friends, but for yourself.  So, you start showing up.  It is deciding anxiety will not ruin your best laid plans.  So you look it fearlessly in the eye.  It is deciding that your lack of focus has ended in unfinished business.  So, you just do it.  It is when you finally decide there has to be a better way.  So, you say, "I'm worth it.  I am enough.  I'm ready.  Let's go!"  Ask yourself this:  "Are you ready to live a BLUE SLATE LIFE?"  If you answered, yes, allow me the privilege to help you be the best you.  BLUE SLATE.

Why the name, BLUE SLATE LIFE?

The color blue represents peace, tranquility, and physical/mental relaxation and confidence.  Slate, is a term I frequently use with the women I work with at one of the women's inpatient substance abuse rehabilitation facilities in the city of Rochester, NY. "Being in recovery is having a clean slate in life. You get to start new and fresh."  This is YOUR life.  Love it!  Own it!  YOU run the day. Don't let the day run you!!!

What does a session look like?

Once you schedule an appointment, a questionnaire will be emailed out to you containing questions that will assist in making our first meeting a productive one.  From there, a GTP (Individualized Goal Treatment Plan) will be developed with obtainable goals and objectives for you to reach.  Following sessions will consist of us examining progress on those goals/objectives, and making adjustments as needed.  Within each session, movement to your liking can be implemented, whether it be yoga, cycling, walking, hiking, meditation, etc.  Outdoor environments are utilized throughout the Brighton, Cobbs Hill and Pittsford areas.
